My Point…and I Do Have One

My attorney clients taught me early on they wanted a quick overview of what I thought before they would listen to a more detailed analysis of my review.  It’s not that they wanted to know the ending first, they simply needed a reference point before being able to listen and absorb a lengthy explanation of the case issues.


Guiding the listener is a basic skill in speaking to groups or in conversation in general.  The listener cannot follow rambling communications.  They need to know the direction.  Legal nurse consultants must know how to conduct themselves when providing verbal reports to attorney clients.  There are several things to keep in mind but simplicity and brevity are paramount.
